    Our Practice

Three ways we shape a home.

Every project starts the same way – with a discovery call. From there, the work falls into one of three engagements.

    01 — Service

    Remodeling

Kitchens, bathrooms, and more, each designed to feel as if they have always belonged. We work from layouts to finishing touches and have a trusted contractor to guide you every step of the way.

    02 — Service

    Furnishing

Bedrooms, social rooms, or a whole house. We source from high-quality vendors you won't find in big-box stores, with timeless comfort at the center.

    03 — Service

    Refreshing

For those enhancing their environment without major construction — paint colors, floor stains, art, and guidance for those unsure about hiring a designer at all.

    The Process

How a project actually moves through the studio.

Every engagement — a powder room refresh or a full-house remodel — moves through the same five phases. The depth changes; the order does not.

    1. Phase 01

      Discovery

It starts with an inquiry and evolves into an in-home consultation where we will discovery how you live, who's in the house, what's working, what isn't, what you've tried, what you dream, and what the budget is actually for. Nothing leaves this stage until we both agree on the scope.

Deliverable — Project brief · scope of work · investment range

    2. Phase 02

      Concept & Plans

Floor plans, elevations, and in depth inspiration. We test layouts against real life — traffic, light, storage, sightlines — and put the room on paper before any selections are locked.

Deliverable — Plans · inspiration direction · early budget

    3. Phase 03

      3D Rendering

Every room is built in 3D and rendered photorealistically. You see the kitchen, the bath, the millwork — with the actual finishes, in the actual light — before a single contract is signed. This is where changes are free, and your confidence in your investment soars.

Deliverable — Photoreal renderings · your vision is born

    4. Phase 04

      Specification & Sourcing

Tagged drawing sets, finish schedules, lighting plans, and a procurement log. Every fixture, fabric, and finish is specified by model number, source, and lead time so the field team has no questions to ask.

Deliverable — Construction drawings · spec book · procurement log

    5. Phase 05

      Build & Install

We coordinate with your builder, project-manage selections, and handle receiving, inspection, delivery, and install for furnishing scopes. The job site stays calm because the decisions were made months ago.

Deliverable — Site coordination · install day · final styling

    What we believe

    Four working principles.

    Decide before you build.

Renderings are not a sales tool — they are how we make decisions cheaply. A change in a file is free. A change at framing is not.

    Specify everything.

Nothing arrives on site as a surprise. Every part has a part number, a source, and a place on the schedule.

    One designer, end to end.

You work with the principal who took the brief. We do not hand projects off mid-stream, and we do not stack more work than the studio can hold.

    Built for thirty years.

Solid wood, real stone, natural fibers, and makers who stand behind their work. The most sustainable room is the one you don't redo.

    Timeline

Renderings in days. Rooms in months.

A discovery call is scheduled within the week. Plans and a first rendering typically land 2–4 weeks after kickoff. Furnishing scopes run 8–16 weeks depending on lead times; full remodels run 2–4 months in the field, planned long before ground breaks.

    Investment

Quoted by scope, not by guess.

Refresh engagements start in the low four figures. Furnishing and remodel design fees scale with room count and complexity. Every project is quoted as a fixed fee after the in-home consultation, because you deserve to know exactly how much you're investing.

    A note from the studio

“A good room solves a real problem. A great one does it so quietly you forget it was ever a problem at all.”
